Measurement

This week for measurement we have been exploring the idea of measuring volume.  We have used a variety of non standard units (egg cups, cups, spoons and jugs) to compare volume of containers.

At home this week let your child to help you measure ingredients when you are cooking or baking.

On Monday, Kate came and helped with maths. We had the water table out and made predictions about how many cupfuls or spoonfuls we would need to fill different containers. We had lots of fun and got a bit wet!

By the end our predictions  were pretty close.

Today for maths one of our stations was to fins something that was smaller, the same size and bigger than our foot.
