Splash and Dash

Splash and dash
Today we had Splash and Dash. It was really fun because we got to run and splash across the pool. Lots of mums, dads and grandparents came to watch.
We felt really proud because it was our first ever Splash and Dash.

Elmer elephant art
Today our letter was e. We read the story of Elmer the Elephant who is different colours to normal elephants. One day a year the elephants painted themselves crazy colours and Elmer paints himself elephant colour.
We designed our own elephants.

Resilience
This week our S.U.R.F.E.R value focus is Resilience. In Room 2 we like to keep trying because it doesn't matter if we make a mistake as long as we have tried our BEST. BEST stands for Better Every Single Time. We have been trying our BEST each day when we have been going to swimming lessons and Miss D is so impressed with our improvement.

Blowing bubbles
I like bubbles. They are so fun when you blow them out and pop them.

Blowing Bubbles
To make bubbles you need:
8 tbsp of dishwashing liquid
2 tbsp of water
1/2 tsp of cooking oil
Mix it together.
We made some bubble wands from paper clips. We discovered that the best containers for bubble mixture were shallow ones because it was easier to get the mixture.

Our First Day in Room 2
Today was our first day in Room 2. We are now all year 1's. We did the letter of the day and it was the letter l. Our words of the week are "to" "the" and "I"
